A Melbourne archaeologist wants experts to be allowed to examine bodies unearthed during the $250 million Queen Victoria Market revamp. Experts have confirmed that thousands of bodies lie buried beneath the market in the Old Melbourne Cemetery, at a rate of about one every 2.15 square metres.
